At HCM Music Academy, we love to spread the word about the many health benefits of singing. Group singing, in particular, has been scientifically proven to reduce stress levels, relieve anxiety and elevate endorphins, leading to feelings of pleasure, joy and happiness.
On top of the social rewards gained from spending time with like minded music lovers, singing in choirs engages the creative areas of both the right and left sides of your brain, and has been known to lower blood pressure too.
Sessions run each week and last for 45 – 60 minutes , which includes a vocal warm-up, separation into harmony parts, and the learning of a section of a song. We provide original vocal arrangements of the songs, which our talented choir leader can then adjust according to the profile of your group to ensure the best result from your choir.
We provide everything you need for the session, including scores, lyrics, backing tracks, a PA system and a digital piano – you just need to provide a space to rehearse… and bring the voices!
