At HCM Music College, not only are our tutors qualified and inspiring educators, but each one has an impressive past career in the music industry… and is still very active in it today too!
We only select the best tutors here at HCM Music College. Not only are they qualified in education and well versed in the ways people of all ages learn, they’re also passionate about music… and really know what they’re talking about.
We know this, because we only employ tutors who’ve had a successful history in the music industry, and continue to push musical boundaries today.
We encourage our tutors to have their own musical projects outside of HCM music school, because this is what makes them great music teachers. Every day they eagerly pass on their expert technical skills and first-hand knowledge of the music business to our students, helping to produce amazing musicians and ‘industry-ready’ graduates. They live and breathe music, which means they’re well-connected to the music industry… and happy to connect our students to it too.
Across their careers, our music tutors have done some amazing things. Like touring the US, Europe and Australia. And performing with artists including Lily Allen, Billy Bragg, Frank Turner, Eric Clapton and Kim Wilde. Like playing in iconic global venues such as the Hammersmith Apollo, Sydney Opera House, Shepherd’s Bush Empire, Royal Festival Hall and Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club. And arranging vocals for a grime opera.
Like proudly endorsing some of the best instrument brands in music. And taking part in unique performances at the BBC, Google HQ, Sound of Essex Festival, the Hop Farm Festival and on Later… With Jools Holland. Like composing music for films, TV programmes and advertisements around the world. And remixing Marvin Gaye and Sarah Vaughan.
