Music technology lessons at HCM Music Academy are open to anyone who wants to learn how to use the latest technology to create music digitally.
Whether you’re an absolute beginner or have some experience in digital music production but want to improve your knowledge and technique, we can help children and adults aged 7+ to become budding producers, remixers, rappers and musicians. Lessons are held weekly at HCM , on a one-to-one basis.
Music technology lessons at HCM are meticulously designed around your particular music production goals. The classes will cover a range of digital music techniques, genres and styles, and you’ll develop a wealth of technical, practical and theoretical knowledge in audio production, sound for media, electronic music production, mixing and mastering which you can apply to real-world scenarios. Over time you’ll become a confident user of both music production hardware and software, including Logic, Ableton and more.

At HCM, we like to see our students improve over time, so we offer RSL (Rockschool) graded instrument exams. Our music technology lessons follow the RSL (Rockschool) graded music production syllabus from Debut to Grade 8, and teenage students can complement these classes with other activities, such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme or GCSE Music.
