Taking Vocal lessons at HCM Music Academy is a brilliant way to gain confidence as a singer and perfect vocal techniques you never thought possible. Private lessons are developed to suit you, and you can choose from either a 30 minute or 1 hour lesson, across a range of different experience levels.
At HCM vocal lessons, we use the Estill Voice Training (EVT) programme for developing vocal skills. You’ll learn to sing a variety of songs from a wide range of genres, and will cover singing and breathing techniques. You’ll study something new each week, with lessons adapted to suit your interests and experience level.
At HCM Vocal lessons, we use both traditional vocal education techniques and the Estill Voice Training (EVT) programme for developing vocal skills. You’ll learn to sing a variety of songs from a wide range of genres, will explore both your head voice and chest voice, and will cover expression, harmony, breathing techniques and more. You’ll study something new each week, with lessons adapted to suit your interests and experience level.

As well as your weekly Vocal lessons, HCM vocalists and singers are encouraged to take part in our end of term gigs and showcases. This helps students gain experience in playing live and in front of an audience, as well as giving useful experience and a new found confidence.
We offer our Vocal students RSL graded instrument exams so you can see for yourself how much you’re improving. At HCM, we follow the RSL graded syllabus for vocals from Grade 1 to Grade 8, and make it possible for teenage students to link our graded lessons with other activities, such as music at GCSE level or the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.
